“Wow,” said a smiling firefighter, “Is this Thanksgiving or Christmas?” He held the door open for some of our grateful Lindridge Martin Manor residents as they carried platters of food into the station for a Thanksgiving feast.  The meal is part of an annual three-day tradition our neighborhood shares with the Piedmont Heights Civic Association. On Friday, November 25, it was LMMNA ’s turn to provide the dinner—turkey and all the trimmings, sides, salads, desserts, and fruit.

This meal is one way we can show our gratitude to the men and women of AFD who help to protect our community as they respond to fire and medical emergencies. LMMNA provided the turkey, and the following residents took care of the rest: Stuart Blencoe, Bob and Cindy Scott, Wayne and Catherine Owen, Pam Meredith, Andrea and Clay Huffman, Matt and Teresa Sussman, Cristy Smith, Joanne Lincoln, Laura Tison, John Burger and Wes Kennedy, Judy Cziky, Richard and Jessica Kenny, Rebecca and Matt Godlewski, Willae Ivory, Fran Plunkett, Bob Haecock and Todd Hamilton, Laura Lisa and Michael Pryor, Sally Wissel, Linda King, Jane Rawlings, Gina Ward and Dorothy and Rich Sussman.  Many thanks to all of you for making this a great day for our neighborhood heroes!
